Daily Prayer
Gracious God, let us rejoice and sing a new song to You for this is the season to go out and announce the Good News of Your love and mercy. This is the season for Alleluia, the Church’s cry of surprise and joy. This is the season to shed all cynicism and skepticism and to bask in the words of our Risen Savior: “Peace I leave you, my peace I give you.” Amen
Jn 15:12-17
Jesus said to his disciples:
“This is my commandment: love one another as I love you.
No one has greater love than this,
to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.
You are my friends if you do what I command you.
I no longer call you slaves,
because a slave does not know what his master is doing.
I have called you friends,
because I have told you everything I have heard from my Father.
It was not you who chose me, but I who chose you
and appointed you to go and bear fruit that will remain,
so that whatever you ask the Father in my name he may give you.
This I command you: love one another.”
Did you know that you can submit a prayer request to the Missionary Oblates?
We want to support you in your daily prayers and we also want to pray for you and your loved ones. When you submit your intentions to us, you will be remembered at Mass and in the prayers of the Oblates at the National Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows and in our missions worldwide.
