Day of Reflection Danielle Harrison
February 26, 2024
9:00 am - 3:00 pm
“Praise is What I Do: The Power, Presence and Provision of Black Spirituality in a Time of Reflection and Discernment”
As we enter into this Season of Lent, we are once again called to reflect and prepare for the Paschal Mystery that is soon to come. Join Danielle Harrison as she explores the richness and giftedness of Black Spirituality, and how its embrace of Scripture, Ritual, Community and Justice serves as a refreshing catalyst for experiencing the time of Lent. We will spend time reading God’s Word, singing God’s Praises, and responding to God’s call on our life. Holy Spirit, you are welcome here!
Danielle Harrison currently serves as Director of Mission and Charism at Cor Jesu Academy, an all-girls Catholic School in St. Louis, MO. She received her Master of Theology degree from Aquinas Institute of Theology in 2007, with a concentration in Biblical Studies. She also makes time to be a part of the preaching team at King’s House Retreat and Renewal Center in Belleville and speaks at different churches around the country. Her husband, Tim, is an ordained United Methodist Clergy member, who has recently been assigned as pastor to a United Church of Christ parish in Troy, IL. She loves to sing, laugh, read, play the piano and generally enjoy life.
